In 2021 Czech Science Foundation will announce the following types of calls:

• Standard
• JUNIOR STAR: aimed at excellent young researchers (within 8 years of obtaining a Ph.D.) from all fields of basic research who have already published in international journals and have significant international experience (maximum allocation: 25 million CZK, maximum project duration: 5 years).
• POSTDOC INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIP: new, is intended for researchers who completed their doctoral studies in the past four years. There are two ways of using this project: either as a stay-abroad grant that would enable Czech researchers to conduct research at any research institution abroad under condition of another year spent at a research institution in the Czech Republic or, alternatively, as an incoming grant, thanks to which a researcher from another country would be able to conduct research for two years at a Czech research institution. This is a new type of call and further information will be available once these calls are made public.
• International projects

The EXPRO call will not be announced for this year (junior competitions have been cancelled).
